“I am attaching a LP Talking Points sheet for Thursday. I cannot tell you how excited I am about Thursday and I am praying we are able to set the tone for the session of expectation of Republican leadership, preservation of liberty and all that is good for Texas citizens! They really must do 3 main things this session: Secure elections, secure the border, and protect children. Those are the broad categories of the LP’s.
I’m not sure of our schedule for Thursday as we won’t know details of rules debate until the Speaker is elected Tues. If Phelan wins, he could try to minimize our impact and schedule it Friday or maybe even Wed. If Thursday, or if Tinderholt wins, then we will plan on watching the debate and fill the gallery, the entrances to the House floor where the reps enter, and overflow to their offices while rules debate occurs. I think most of the buses from all over the state plan to arrive around 9:00am.
If it is not on Thursday, we will use Thursday as a lobby day to visit reps and senators offices and advocate for Ban Dem Chairs and our other Legislative Priorities. We will also hold a press conference on the steps of the Capitol on Thursday afternoon.”
