Country star John Rich recently revealed God inspired him to write his latest single, “Revelation,” as a means of counteracting the “satanic” content put forth by the mainstream music industry and escalating spiritual warfare.
“When the Lord slaps you upside the head with something, you have a physical reaction to it,” Rich said. “The message I felt coming back to me was, ‘Take it all the way to the mat.’”
The singer said he felt compelled to write a song dealing with the reckoning and the return of Christ, drawing heavily from biblical themes, notably Ephesians 6:12: “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
Amid the lies promoted by the mainstream media, the artist encouraged people to pray for “discernment” and look to the Bible for answers.
“Go read what the book says about it, what God’s stance is on it, and if they’re opposed to that or out of line with that, then they’re wrong,” he said. “Base it against ultimate truth. I think that’s why we have the Bible; humans can’t figure this stuff out.”
In a recent interview with Tucker Carlson, Rich, a multiplatinum artist and one-half of the duo Big & Rich, revealed his new song was inspired by the prophecies of the Apostle John in the final book of the Bible — topics Tucker Carlson pointed out most pastors don’t even like to address.
“I was at home in Nashville, not even thinking about writing a song, when suddenly it felt like a hammer hit me in the back of the head,” the 50-year-old singer said.
