Silence in the face of evil is evil itself…

Lake Travis Independent School District (LTISD) Students have access to hundreds of books that through sexually explicit materials, promote transgenderism and Critical Race theory (CRT), complete with vulgar language and illustrations.

The questions are…

What is the educational value of these books?

Who is responsible for allowing these books into the LTISD library system?

and…

WHEN ARE THESE BOOKS GOING TO BE REMOVED?

LTISD Trustees have the power to remove these books immediately.

We the People | Lake Travis have spent the last year and half asking LTISD Trustees politely, quietly and subtly through email, meetings and public comment to please remove immediately or create a policy to prohibit sexually explicit, CRT and trans affirming books bought with taxpayer funds.

Our efforts have fallen upon deaf hears until recently when concerned citizens read directly from a few of these disgusting books at the January 2023 school board meeting.

The following are public comments from the January 2023 LTISD Board meeting. Excerpts (below) were read from three books resulting in two of the three books availability being reduced or eliminated.

Is this a trend?

If yes lets continue reading books at every board meeting until all inappropriate books are gone!

The hardness of him pushed against her, and she bucked her hips, needing to grind herself against him, to do anything to ease the building ache between her legs. Rowan groaned, and she wondered if there as any other male in the world who would be so naked and prone with a woman on fire, who would not look at those flames with any ounce of fear.

She slid her hand between them, and when she closed her fingers around him, marveling at the velvet-wrapped steel, Rowan groaned again, pushing into her hand. She pulled her mouth from his, staring into those pine-green eyes as she slid her hand along him. He lowered his head- not to kiss her, but to watch where she stroked him.

…But Rowan gripped her wrist, drawing her hand away. She opened her mouth in protest, wanting to touch more, to taste more. “Let me,” Rowan growled onto the sea-slick skin between her breasts. “Let me touch you.” His voice trembled enough that Aelin lifted his chin with her thumb and forefinger.

…She leaned up, brushing her mouth against his. “Do your worst, Prince. ”Rowan’s smile was nothing short of wicked as he pulled away to run a broad hand from her throat down to the juncture of her thighs. She shuddered at the sheer possession in the touch, her breath coming in tight pants as he gripped either thigh and spread her legs, baring her fully for him. …Rowan kissed her navel, then her hip.

Aelin couldn’t take her eyes from his silver hair shining with salt water and moonlight, from the hands holding her wide for him as his head dipped between her legs.

After signing up for a computer, I research hormone blockers again- I need to be certain about the right time to start them. There’s something called Tanner Stage II. That’s when my boy parts start growing, when hair starts growing down there, when all the things I don’t want to happen start happening. That’s when I’m supposed to start the hormone blockers. That means I should be starting them now. It’s not like I’m asking for estrogen or surgery. Yet. I just don’t want to grow hair down there or get a deep voice or a bulging Adam’s apple or…Why can’t Dad support me on this?

“Remember that time I caught Lily with the nail clippers after her bath?” Dad’s quiet. “She told me she wanted to cut her penis off, Gary. That it didn’t belong.” An unbearable silence, then Mom’s voice: “She was five years old, Gary. She knew when she was five.” I knew before I was five. And I remember holding those nail clippers that Mom had left on the counter. But back then, I didn’t think about the possibility of bleeding to death. I just wanted it gone. And I still do.

The whole time I knew it was wrong, not because I was having sexual intercourse with a guy, but that you were my family. I only did that for about forty-five seconds before you had me stop. Then you got down on your knees and told me to close my eyes. That’s when you began oral sex on me as well. It was the strangest feeling in the world. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a handbook to earn sexuality as a queer boy. My crash course was happening right in front of me, and despite the guilt I was feeling, there was also euphoria. Things were happening to me that I couldn’t explain. Feelings and emotions I had not known existed. After a minute or so, you stopped.
