Lake Travis Republican Club January Luncheon/Meeting
Join the Lake Travis Republican Club on Tuesday, January 20th for our January Luncheon featuring U.S. Congressman Wesley Hunt, a decorated Army veteran, conservative leader, and proud Texan.
US Congressman Wesley Hunt is a former U.S. Army officer serving as the U.S. representative for Texas’s 38th congressional district (Houston area) since 2023. He attended the United States Military Academy, where he received a Bachelor of Science in leadership and management. He later received three Master’s degrees from Cornell University (Master of Business Administration, Master of Public Administration, and a Master of Industrial and Labor Relations).
A veteran of the Iraqi war he served in the US Army as an Apache helicopter pilot from 2004 – 2012 (achieving 55 combat missions). Also he completed two deployments to Saudi Arabia as a Diplomatic Liaison Officer. Congressman Hunt is currently on the House Judiciary and Natural Resources Committees. Additionally, President Trump appointed Wesley to the United States Military Academy Board of Visitors in 2025.
He and his wife Emily have three children, Victoria, Olivia, and Willie. Congressman Hunt is Baptist and has stated that the Champion Forest Baptist Church helped to shape his Christian faith. Congressman Hunt is currently seeking the office of Texas US State Senator as Senator’s Cornyn’s current term is expiring.
