U.S. Representative Michael McCaul (TX-10) to deliver 2022 Congressional Report at ARW’s October Luncheon Meeting
Since 2005, Texans have sent Michael McCaul to Washington, D.C. to represent us in Congress and to look out for our interests. On October 6, he returns to Austin to share news and perspective with ARW members about what’s going on up there. Make plans now to join us and learn firsthand from a man who’s in the thick of it all.
The son of a World War II veteran and a fourth-generation Texan, Michael McCaul is a former federal prosecutor who has dedicated his career to standing up for Americans and getting things done.
As the most effective Republican in Congress, he leads the charge to stop wasteful spending, create jobs, secure the border, and ensure our children get the best education possible while defending school choice policies that put parents in control of their child’s education.
As Chairman Emeritus on the U.S. House Committee on Homeland Security and Ranking Member on the Foreign Affairs Committee, Michael is working to ensure America projects strength on the world stage while caring for our service members at home.
He is leading efforts to defend America from hostile countries, like China, and other bad actors who wish us harm. The CCP (Chinese Communist Party) poses a long-term threat to the U.S., so Michael is committed to standing up against China and reducing our reliance on them. In fact, he was an original co-sponsor of the Chips for America Act. He has been critical of President Biden terminating the Migrant Protection Protocols (Remain in Mexico policy), claiming he’s compounding the crisis at the Texas border. And he also founded the Childhood Cancer Caucus – an issue close to Michael’s heart and he hopes to give kids a better chance at survival from this disease.
