SUMMARY:Lake Travis ISD Trustees ELECTION DAY!
DESCRIPTION:Lake Travis Independent School District (LTISD) will conduct its Board of Trustees election on May 3\, 2025. Voters can cast their ballots at any designated Vote Center in Travis County displaying the “Vote Here/Aquí” sign during both early voting and on Election Day. \n\n\n\n\nThis election cycle is critical—common sense\, transparency and truth are on the ballot for LTISD. \n In May 2024\, only 50% of registered voters turned out\, allowing radical leftist incumbents to stay in place to continue defending woke ideologies\, calling it “free speech.” The 2025 leftist candidates are even worse—one openly cringes at the idea that “boys turn into men\,” and the other claims to be a businessman while pushing overpriced “student housing” that exploits families and leaves low-income students behind. \nEven if you don’t have kids in LTISD\, YOUR PROPERTY TAXES fund 85% of the district’s budget. In 2023\, voters were hoodwinked into approving over $700 million in bonds\, and by 2024\, the board managed to create a $2.25 MILLION deficit. How’s that for managing your tax dollars? \nIt’s time to take off the rose-colored glasses. LTISD is not the “destination district” it pretends to be. Academic scores are below average\, bullying and drug use are rampant\, and accountability is nowhere to be found. We need transparency\, firm discipline\, and leaders who deliver results—not excuses. \nThe only incumbent in this election is the current President of the Board of Trustees—and her record speaks for itself. She’s got to go. \nLet’s elect new Trustees who will fight for truth\, transparency\, and real change—not the “go along to get along” mentality. \nOur kids—and our community—deserve better.

SUMMARY:True Texas Project Monthly Meeting
DESCRIPTION:NOTE… New Venue! \nWe’ve all heard the excuses from Legislators.  “We ran out of time!”;  “I worked hard to get that bill passed\, but we just didn’t have the votes”;  “You just don’t understand how the system works”;  “It’s complicated”.  True Texas Project is pulling back the curtain on the Games People Play in the Texas Legislature\, and explaining all the tricks and gimmicks that are used to create excuses for not doing what we want them to do. \nJoin us as we take a close look at each step in the legislative process\, and how our law makers use tricks and gimmicks to fool us into thinking they’re doing the right thing.  Knowing how your legislator votes is important\, but it’s only one piece of the puzzle.  You need to know what happens behind the scenes\, and how things really move before that final vote is ever taken.  Fran Rhodes\, TTP President\, will show you what to look for and how to push back. \n  \nAbout Fran Rhodes:Currently serving as President of True Texas Project\, Fran Rhodes first became interested in politics when Obama was elected. She attended a tax day rally in 2009\, and joined several grassroots groups\, subscribing to their online newsletters. Fran started attending NE Tarrant Tea Party meetings in the summer of 2009. In 2010\, she took on leadership of the Volunteer Liaison program\, and in 2013\, established the Citizen Advocate program. In 2014 Fran joined the Board of NE Tarrant Tea Party\, and in 2016 became Vice President. When NETTP re-branded and relaunched into True Texas Project\, in 2019\, Fran was promoted to President and now is helping to lead the organization and grow the grassroots army in Texas. Fran’s passion for this service comes from a desire to actually make a difference\, influence what goes on in our government\, and really make our voices heard. According to Fran\, “Even when we don’t get the outcomes we want\, people see that we show up\, we put in the time\, we do the work\, and we are not going away!”\nFran holds a BA in Business Management from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio\, and is retired from a career in sales and marketing in the office furniture industry. Originally from Illinois\, Fran got to Texas as soon as she could. She considers herself a Texan\, after 3 decades of living in the Lone Star State\, and is passionate about fighting for liberty in Texas. When Fran is not fighting for legislation\, speaking to others about activism\, or organizing the latest TTP special event\, she is an active member of her church choir\, and enjoys sewing\, quilting and gardening.

It provides legal support\, public advocacy\, and educational resources for individuals and families affected by government overreach and judicial bias.“At Condemned USA\, we stand with those who have been unjustly condemned by a weaponized legal system. SUMMARY:LTISD is ordering Library books!! Public Comments welcome!!
DESCRIPTION:Parents and Taxpayers… Let your voice be heard before the next SB meeting!\nTexas Senate Bill 13: Overview and Implementation\nSenate Bill 13 (SB 13) is a piece of legislation passed during the 89th Texas Legislature (2025–2026) that imposes new requirements on school libraries\, particularly concerning the acquisition and review of library materials. The bill focuses on increasing transparency and parental oversight in the selection of books and other resources available to students. \nThe law requires school districts to adopt policies for the acquisition and removal of library materials that align with state guidelines. \nSenate Bill 13 Public School Requirements from the TEA\nhttps://tea.texas.gov/texas-schools/school-boards/sb13-guidance.pdf \n  \n\n\n\n\nThe Lake Travis ISD School Library Advisory Council (SLAC) was established by the Board of Trustees to ensure that school libraries provide strong collections that support student achievement\, meet state standards\, and reflect community expectations. Meeting at least twice each year\, the SLAC works with librarians and district staff to develop a recommended list of library materials for procurement\, including donated titles. The Board reviews these recommendations\, considers any proposed changes\, and makes the final decision to approve or reject the materials. At least 30 days before the Board’s vote\, the proposed list is made publicly available for parents and community members to review. The SLAC also recommends procedures for handling challenges to library materials and reviews challenges according to law before making recommendations to the Board. This process helps ensure transparency\, parent involvement\, and a strong library program that strengthens student achievement while nurturing a lifelong appreciation\, habit and love of reading. \n\n\n\n\nProposed Library Materials for Review & Community Feedback\n\n\n\nProposed Titles for Library Procurement List\nOctober 15\, 2025: Proposed Titles for Library Procurement \nFeedback form for parents and taxpayers\nProposed Titles for Library Procurement Feedback Form\n\nFor questions or additional information regarding SLAC reviews or library material challenges\, please contact Tasha Barker\, watersbarkert@ltisdschools.org\, 512-533-6036. \n\n\n\n\n2025-26 SLAC Meetings\n\n\n\nSeptember 18\, 2025 | Agenda | Meeting minutes | Recording\nOctober 14\, 2025 | Agenda | Meeting minutes | Recording\nDecember 16\, 2025 | Agenda | Meeting minutes | Recording\nFebruary 17\, 2026 | Agenda | Meeting minutes | Recording\nMay 19\, 2026 | Agenda | Meeting minutes | Recording\n\n\n\n\n\n

SUMMARY:LTRC December 2025 Meeting
DESCRIPTION:https://www.laketravisrepublicanclubtx.com/event-details/ltrc-december-2025-meeting\n\nJoin the LTRC as we feature Abraham George\, Chairman of the Republican Party of Texas. Abraham’s remarkable story embodies the American dream—one built on faith\, perseverance\, and a deep love for this country.\n\nBorn on a small farm in India\, Abraham’s family spent fourteen years pursuing legal visas to the United States\, finally immigrating to Texas when he was 16. With limited English but a strong work ethic\, he began his journey as a janitor’s assistant and\, through determination\, became a National Sales Director by age 22. Along the way\, he proudly became an American citizen\, a milestone he deeply cherishes.\n\nMotivated by faith and love for liberty\, Abraham entered politics during Barack Obama’s 2007 campaign\, standing boldly against socialist policies and the idea that minorities must conform to one political narrative. Since then\, he has served as Vice Chairman of the Collin County Republican Party\, State Republican Executive Committeeman\, and Chairman of the Collin County GOP before being elected Chairman of the Republican Party of Texas.\n\nToday\, he continues to fight to close Texas primaries\, demand accountability from leadership\, and defeat Marxist Democrats who threaten our freedoms. Abraham George’s journey from immigrant to conservative leader is a powerful reminder of what’s possible through faith\, hard work\, and the enduring promise of America.
