During his 31-year career with DEA\, he served in a myriad of domestic and foreign assignments\, to include: San Jose\, California; Brasilia\, Brazil; Brownsville\, Texas; Islamabad\, Pakistan; Kabul\, Afghanistan; Dallas\, Texas; DEA Headquarters as the Deputy Chief of International Operations; and\, finally\,as the Special Agent in Charge of DEA’s global Aviation Division.\nFollowing his retirement from DEA in 2016\, he was appointed as the Executive Director of the Midwest High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) for the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) where he effectively coordinated drug control efforts with his local\, state and federal drug control counterparts across the heartland of America until 2022.

DESCRIPTION:Patriots\, \nPresident Trump will be in Austin tomorrow to tape an interview with Joe Rogan.  The motorcade will depart from the airport and travel to Rogan’s studio.  We do not know the exact route that will be taken by the motorcade\, but Bee Caves is inevitable to get to Rogan’s home studio.  The Travis County Republican Party is gathering at The County Line (On the Hill) at 6500 W\, Bee Caves Road starting at 11:30.  You are invited to come early to “gather”.  Trump is not expected to pass this point any earlier than 1pm on Bee Caves and we all know how Trump runs late 🙂  So\, if you’re running late or not available earlier\, please come anyway.  Let’s give Trump a big Austin welcome. \nLet’s show the Dems and all of Texas how red we are. DESCRIPTION:Veterans Day (originally known as Armistice Day) is a Federal holiday in the United States observed annually on November 11\, for honoring military veterans of the United States Armed Forces. It coincides with holidays in several countries\, including Armistice day and Remembrance day\, which also occur on the anniversary of the end of World War I. Major hostilities of World War I were formally ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918 when the Armistice with Germany went into effect. At the urging of major U.S. veteran organizations\, Armistice Day was renamed Veterans Day in 1954. Veterans Day is distinct from Memorial Day\, a U.S. public holiday in May: Veterans Day commemorates the service of all U.S. veterans\, while the older Memorial Day\, which grew out of Civil War commemorations\, specifically honors those who have died while in military service.

DESCRIPTION:State Senator Bob Hall is our November speaker.  Currently in the 88th Legislature\, Texas Senator Bob Hall\, is the Chairman of the vital Senate Committee on Administration and an influential voting member on the Senate Committee of Finance\, Health and Human Services\, Local Government\, and Veteran Affairs.  He has earned the reputation of being open minded and willing to discuss ideas but absolutely unwavering in holding to his core conservative principles and Judeo-Christian values.  He is a man who believes in the Declaration of Independence and follows the Constitution.  He is pro-life\, pro-gun\, pro-liberty\, pro-property rights\, pro Judeo-Christian conservative values\, a staunch proponent of the free market\, fiscally responsible\, and pro-limited government.  Senator Hall was instrumental in making Texas a 2nd Amendment Sanctuary State\, as well as\, protecting religious organizations and churches from Government shutdown. \n \nAfter the Air Force he worked in the Aerospace industry as a systems engineer and business development manager.  In 1982 he left the corporate world and began working as an independent proposal consultant to aerospace and defense corporations.  Then in 1984 he formed his own company\, Professional Proposal Management\, Inc. \n \nA compelling sense of duty\, shaped by his military service\, business experience\, and love for this country\, drives him to leave behind the legacy of a patriotic servant for his children and grandchildren.  Envisioning their futures compelled him to become actively involved in the state’s political process and strongly believes it is time to stand in the gap for our children\, our liberties and our future.

SUMMARY:LTISD Monthly School Board Meeting
DESCRIPTION:LTISD Update: In November 2022 and 2023\, LTISD voters were persuaded to approve $758M in bonds partially based on the narrative that we were a high growth district. \nIn January 2024\, the PASA demographers confessed they were very wrong about the data. Major modifications are being made on how to spend all the bond money\, including a major reduction to the second high school.  The voters approved $50M to build Elementary #8. As of the October board meeting\, the District is asking the Board to approve a $27M overspend….a 65% increase. \nSince 2020\, an average of 1\,000 students leave LTISD every school year. No campus is over capacity except the High School and only by 67 students.  If $27 million dollars seems like a lot of money to you\, please come to this Board meeting and/or reach out to the Board at ltisdschools.org. \nAs taxpayers\, we should be asking hard questions and requiring documented data and comparisons before the District is allowed to spend ANY money over budget.  How about a bond oversight committee made up of community members that does not include District staff?
