SUMMARY:LTRC March 2026 Meeting/Luncheon
DESCRIPTION:https://www.laketravisrepublicanclubtx.com/event-details/ltrc-march-2026-meeting \nThe Lake Travis Republican Club invites you to join us for our March Luncheon on Tuesday\, March 17\, featuring special guest Chairman Jim Wright of the Texas Railroad Commission. \nChairman Wright is a fifth-generation Texas rancher and lifelong South Texan who has spent decades working in the energy sector. Since his election to the Railroad Commission in 2020\, he has focused on maintaining a fair and consistent regulatory environment that supports innovation while protecting the long-term strength of Texas’ energy industry. \nDuring his time at the Commission\, Chairman Wright has championed solution-oriented leadership\, encouraging collaboration between regulators\, industry leaders\, and the public to ensure Texas remains a global energy powerhouse. He understands the vital role energy plays in the Texas economy and has emphasized the importance of expanding access to global markets while preparing for the future of energy production. \nChairman Wright has also worked to ensure the Commission is proactive in addressing emerging issues such as water and carbon management\, geothermal energy\, and hydrogen production and storage\, recognizing that the energy industry of tomorrow will look very different from today. \nBefore his service on the Railroad Commission\, Wright began working in the energy industry at just 19 years old\, eventually building a successful group of environmental management companies serving the sector. In addition to his professional career\, he spent more than two decades as a rodeo bull rider and remains a devoted family man\, living in Orange Grove with his wife\, Sherry\, and their five children. \nThis will be an engaging discussion about Texas energy policy\, economic growth\, and the future of the industry that powers our state. You won’t want to miss this opportunity to hear directly from one of Texas’ key energy leaders.

SUMMARY:Debate/Forum LTISD School Board and Bee Cave Mayor Election
DESCRIPTION:The Lake Travis Republican Club will host a Candidate Debate Forum on Monday\, April 13\, 2026\, at Saltgrass Steak House in Bee Cave. This important community event will give voters an opportunity to hear directly from candidates running for local offices that impact the Lake Travis area.\nThe forum will feature all four candidates for the LTISD School Board\, along with invited candidates from Bee Cave City Council\, Lakeway City Council\, and the Bee Cave Mayoral race.\nThe evening will begin with cocktails and networking at 6:30 PM\, followed by the forum promptly at 7:00 PM. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure seating. Food and beverages will be available for individual purchase.\nAt the start of the forum\, currently seated city council candidates will each be given two minutes to deliver an introductory statement. Following these introductions\, a coin flip will determine whether the School Board candidates or the Bee Cave mayoral candidates begin the debate portion of the evening.\nThe debate will be moderated by an independent moderator from outside the LTISD community\, and questions will not be disclosed to candidates in advance to ensure a fair and engaging discussion.\nThis event is designed to help voters better understand the candidates\, their positions\, and the issues affecting our community.
