Her prior experience in (1) developing project estimates for corporate capital project approvals; and (2) providing customer Steering Committees and CFO’s with project financial estimates\, updates and risk assessments provides her with a unique perspective for LTISD financial management processes and reporting. She publicly called for an increase in due diligence\, transparency and accountability in LTISD Administrative processes\, and has been voicing and posting thought-provoking questions about what the Long-Range Planning Committee recommended. \nWe’ve invited her to share her findings and perspectives; and answer your questions with facts and experience as we contemplate propelling our school district debt to the Billion Dollar Mark. Please join us on August 9th at River in the Hills Church as we prepare for the next LTISD board meeting. \nThe LTISD Board of Trustees plans to vote on the proposed $703 million dollar property tax increase at the August 17\, 2022 meeting. Since 5 of the 7 elementary schools are hundreds under capacity\, wouldn’t it be more prudent to rezone the elementary boundaries rather than spend $105M on 2 new elementary campuses? \n2.  Is it possible to put a second high school in its own bond proposition\, so the voters can decide that issue without agreeing to all the other items in prop A that the voters may not want? \n3.  Why are ALL the closing costs for the $703M dollar package in proposition A?  What if propositions B&C don’t pass\, how will the voters realize a reduced fee if they are all added in prop A? \nOur recommendation would be to wait until election day on November 8th but if you cant… please find the time in this window.

DESCRIPTION:Agenda will be posted ASAP \nSo its been 8 months since many of us actively block walked\, promoted and won the election with a slate of “Conservative” Candidates for our School Board. \nSo far we have seen absolutely nothing done by these candidates who claimed they were in it\, to win it for the Children. \nThere are hundreds of sexually explicit books in our Public School Libraries available to our middle school and high school students. (age 11 to 17) \nThere are hundreds of transgender affirming books in all LTISD libraries including all of the Elementary Schools. We are talking about books that “affirm” mutilating children\, puberty blockers\, and normalizing this all the way down to your kindergartener. \nCRT is slipping in as well\, many books referencing white cops killing black men\, many books sharing how racist we are as a society\, black oppression… Etc… Etc… \nPronoun sheets keep popping up from teachers that are telling the children “your parents do not have to know about this” The drug situation is out of control\, overdoses\, depression\, etc… And their fix so far is endless surveys and “Social Emotional Learning” \nUnfortunately they have showed zero courage and a smug attitude towards those of us that will not give up on our Public School system. We are done with the days of the good ole boy attitude they have expressed and to put salt in the wound have you noticed how quiet the progressives in our neighborhood are?!? Why you ask? Because they are getting exactly what they want from “conservatives” who are failing us. \nMuch more to come…

DESCRIPTION:RECAP FROM DECEMBERS BOARD MEETING \nThe Trustees in LTISD voted unanimously in favor of: \n\nA new District Improvement Plan Goals full of Diversity\, Equity and Inclusion\,\nThe LTISD Plan of Innovation changes that includes bigger class sizes in K-4 without parental notification; removal of students for tutoring without parental consent\, in-school suspension waived if class attendance is required for credit\, and making ejection of persons from campuses easier\,\nA Pro bond donor was awarded a bond contract\,\nApproved bond construction vendors lacking competitive bidders in same categories\,\nLTISD spending almost ½ of its ESSER funds for gaps in learning on $1\,000 payments for every LTISD employee including administration who earn more than the average voter in LTISD; and\nA LTISD policy change in public comment period that allows the Board to move public comment from the beginning of the meeting. –\n\nSo its been 8 months since many of us actively block walked\, promoted and won the election with a slate of “Conservative” Candidates for our School Board. So far we have seen absolutely nothing done by these candidates who claimed they were in it\, to win it for the Children.There are hundreds of sexually explicit books in Lake Travis Public School Libraries available to our middle school and high school students. (age 11 to 17)There are hundreds of transgender affirming books in all LTISD libraries including all of the Elementary Schools. We are talking about books that “affirm” mutilating children\, puberty blockers\, and normalizing this all the way down to your kindergartener.\nCRT is slipping in as well\, many books referencing white cops killing black men\, many books sharing how racist we are as a society\, black oppression… Etc… Etc… \nPronoun sheets keep popping up from teachers that are telling the children “your parents do not have to know about this” The drug situation is out of control\, overdoses\, depression\, etc… And their fix so far is endless surveys and “Social Emotional Learning” \nUnfortunately they have showed zero courage and a smug attitude towards those of us that will not give up on our Public School system. We are done with the days of the good ole boy attitude they have expressed and to put salt in the wound have you noticed how quiet the progressives in our neighborhood are?!? Why you ask? Because they are getting exactly what they want from “conservatives” who are failing us. \nWe know there is many among even our own group who are not ready to accept this but we cannot be more clear on what is being seen in plain sight\, not to mention all the information coming from the FOIA’s that they don’t want parents to know about. Its happening and the lack of accountability is deafening. Please join us in our plight to protect Children in LTISD.

DESCRIPTION:School Health Advisory Council\nThe Lake Travis School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) is a group appointed by the board of trustees to serve at the district level. Members of the SHAC come from different areas of the community and from within the school district. The majority of members must be parents who are not employed by the district. SHACs assist the district in ensuring that local community values are reflected in health education instruction. Additionally\, SHACs play an important role in strengthening the connection between health and learning. They can help parents and community stakeholders reinforce the knowledge and skills children need to stay healthy for a lifetime. The Board put the book review process on the agenda in February and March. The District wrote new policies to address parent and Board concerns\, however the process is long and committees making the decisions about whether to keep the books are decided by the District and led by the District. \nSexually explicit and trans affirming books are being retained and re-shelved into our schools. The District will pay Travis County approximately $40K to place this one item on our ballot. The bond ask is $50M more than the failed bond in 2022. Instead of listening to the voters and re-evaluating the gold-plated athletic spend\, the District is bringing the voters a bigger ask. \nThe District will spend another $100K convincing the voters that we were wrong and they are right. We will go into deeper debt while our schools are failing\, enrollment is dropping\, teachers are leaving\, busses aren’t running and classroom materials persuade children to question their gender and hate their country. \nPlease start talking to your neighbors about our November election. Voter turnout will be very low\, because there will be no candidate races on the ballot. We must turnout and tell the District AGAIN to bring us a better bond proposal.
