DESCRIPTION:The Lake Travis Republican Club will host a Candidate Debate Forum on Monday\, April 13\, 2026\, at Saltgrass Steak House in Bee Cave. This important community event will give voters an opportunity to hear directly from candidates running for local offices that impact the Lake Travis area.\nThe forum will feature all four candidates for the LTISD School Board\, along with invited candidates from Bee Cave City Council\, Lakeway City Council\, and the Bee Cave Mayoral race.\nThe evening will begin with cocktails and networking at 6:30 PM\, followed by the forum promptly at 7:00 PM. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure seating. Food and beverages will be available for individual purchase.\nAt the start of the forum\, currently seated city council candidates will each be given two minutes to deliver an introductory statement. Following these introductions\, a coin flip will determine whether the School Board candidates or the Bee Cave mayoral candidates begin the debate portion of the evening.\nThe debate will be moderated by an independent moderator from outside the LTISD community\, and questions will not be disclosed to candidates in advance to ensure a fair and engaging discussion.\nThis event is designed to help voters better understand the candidates\, their positions\, and the issues affecting our community.

We encourage voters to educate themselves and to know your vote. \nThis year we have two candidate forums for Lake Travis ISD School Board and the Lakeway City Council. The decision was made based on venue availability\, moderator availability\, timekeeper availability\, Chamber staff availability\, and in consideration of the Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce event calendar. The Chamber will not host a candidate forum for uncontested races. \nAdvocacy is of utmost importance to the Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce\, the largest business association in the greater Lake Travis area. We represent nearly 400 members and thousands of jobs through our membership. Chambers of Commerce have authority under state and federal law to represent our members in public policy debates. We may lobby and take positions on actual or proposed legislation. Agencies from across Central Texas typically will bring their helicopters\, police cars\, motorcycles\, ambulances\, fire trucks\, rescue boats\, ATVs\, K-9’s\, horses\, wildland fire mitigation equipment\, incident command centers\, SWAT apparatus\, casualty tents and buses\, and much\, much more. There are also activities for the kids\, along with live music. We hope you can join us! Hosted in the Parking lot at Lake Travis Elementary School.

DESCRIPTION:Are you opposed to additional apartments at the NE corner of 620/ Bee Cave Parkway? It is encouraged that citizens attend a public meeting to oppose the Pearl Project on Tuesday\, 7/12/22 at 6:00 p.m. at Bee Cave City Hall.\nBelow are the citizen concerns:\n• Added traffic- Bee Cave Parkway will be the only access road\, which is already failing\, especially at prime drive times. This would also affect safety with student bus transportation and emergency vehicles.\n​\n• Bee Cave Comprehensive Plan- The current ratio of single family to multi-family is above what is allowed in the Bee Cave Comprehensive Plan. More apartments would make it even more out of balance.\n• Planned Development Agreement/Exceptions: The developers are asking for many exceptions from our ordinances (which is done with a Planned Development Agreement PDA.) Their asks are very much in excess of what ordinances allow. These include:\n1.) The number of units per acre almost double what would normally be allowed\n2.)
