SUMMARY:LTISD Monthly School Board Meeting
DESCRIPTION:We urge you to attend. The Board agenda includes a “Safety and Security Report”\, “Mental Health Supports”\, “SHAC Committee Update”\, “Increased Property Values allowing for the buy down of debt” and much more. Please take this opportunity to speak to the board or email the Board at leadership@ltisdschools.org. All of these talking points pertain to the agenda items: \nPlease consider asking the Board for a lower tax rate as our values increase\, so do our taxes.\nPlease consider arguing that government schools should not be in the business of identifying students who might be at risk for violence. This is a slippery slope. Investigating students and responding to a student who threatens to shoot up a school are very different.\nPlease consider urging the District to stop teaching sex education to 11 year- olds. LTISD is one of the only school districts that starts in the 6th grade…both Eanes and Leander start in the 7th grade. \nAgenda for 6.15.22
